Sony is set to launch a major promotional event soon, offering exciting opportunities for gamers to save on a range of PlayStation products. This annual event typically includes special deals on hardware, software, and subscriptions, attracting gamers worldwide.

According to the trusted leaker Billbil-Kun, Sony Days of Play sales annual event is scheduled to start next week on May 28. A recent report on Dealabs reveals that the discounts will last for two weeks, featuring temporary price reductions on PS5 consoles, games, accessories, and subscriptions.

The PS5 Pro is expected to be discounted by €50 throughout Europe, potentially lowering its price to approximately £650 or $650 in the UK and US if the same reduction applies.

At the same time, both versions of the base PS5—the standard model with a disc drive and the Digital Edition—are set to receive a substantial price cut of £100, €100, or $100 during the promotion.

Importance: This initiative is likely to boost sales and attract new gamers, strengthening PlayStation’s market position. It also makes next-gen gaming more accessible, potentially increasing engagement across Sony’s ecosystem. Overall, the sale could reshape competitive dynamics in the gaming industry.

PS5 Pro and base PS5 models are set to receive limited-time price reductions during the Days of Play 2025 event.

Here’s the summary of rumored discounts and offers for Sony Days of Play sale 2025:

    • £50 / €50 / $50 off the PS5 Pro
    • £100 / €100 / $100 off the base PS5, including both the standard and Digital Edition
    • £50 / €50 / $50 off the PSVR2 headset
    • Up to 30% off PS Plus subscriptions
    • Price reductions on PS5 DualSense controllers

More Savings Ahead In Sony Days Of Play Sale 2025 Event

In addition to hardware discounts, PS Plus subscriptions are expected to be up to 30% cheaper, with deals also rumored for the PSVR2 and DualSense controllers.

The sale will coincide with the usual PS Store discounts, and June 2025’s PS Plus Essential games are set to be revealed next week, potentially aligning with the promotion. A full roundup of confirmed deals will follow once the sale goes live on May 28.

Tariff Costs May Lead To PS5 Price Adjustments

In recent developments, Sony is exploring the possibility of manufacturing PlayStation 5 consoles in the U.S. to mitigate the financial impact of U.S. tariffs, which are projected to cost the company approximately 100 billion yen ($680 million).

While no final decisions have been made, Sony is also considering potential price adjustments to offset these costs. Additionally, the company is expanding its music business by focusing on high growth markets such as Latin America, India, and other parts of Asia.

The DualSense controller and PSVR2 are rumored to be included in the upcoming sale offers
