    Following the brutal legacy of its predecessors, DOOM: The Dark Ages thrust the iconic franchise into a gritter, more medieval-inspired era of chaos. Developed by id Software and backed by Bethesda, the game is expected to deliver the same high-octane combat and relentless demon-slaying fans love, but with a darker, more ancient twist.

    The game is set to launch on May 15, 2025, and will be available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Bringing a fresh twist to the iconic DOOM franchise, this prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal delves into the epic backstory of the DOOM slayer’s rage.

    The Dark Ages promises an intense, cinematic experience like never before. Fans can also get a first glimpse at the new chapter during the Xbox Developer Direct 2025 reveal trailer, which showcases the game’s brutal gameplay and confirms the release date.

    DOOM: The Dark Ages Early Access & Exclusive Content

    The game also offers Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers a Premium Upgrade DLC for £31.49 / $31.49, which includes two days of early access, the “Divinity” skin pack, digital artbook, soundtrack, and campaign DLC. The DLC lets players start on May 13, 2025, two days ahead of the official release.
