Black Myth Wukong has quickly become one of the best games not only of this year but also of the decade. The title has garnered widespread acclaim for nearly every aspect, from its engaging combat mechanics to stunning visuals and an exceptional soundtrack.

Currently, the game is available on PS5 and PC, though only in digital form.

However, fans who prefer physical copies have reason to celebrate, as Game Science, the developer behind the game, recently announced that a physical edition of Black Myth Wukong for the PS5 is on the way.

Importance: The decline of physical discs in the gaming industry is accelerating, and this trend poses a threat to consumer rights. A balance between physical and digital media is crucial for a healthier and happier industry, offering consumers more options and security in ownership.

Although a release date has not yet been announced, just knowing that the physical edition is coming soon is enough to spark excitement and anticipation for us.

But that’s not the only good news for Black Myth Wukong fans. The ESRB recently rated the game for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, which almost confirms that the game will soon be available on Xbox.

Xbox fans have been eagerly waiting for this title since its initial announcement. Although the game skipped an Xbox launch due to internal quality concerns, it’s encouraging to see that the developers have kept their promise and are finally bringing the game to the platform.

We’re eager to see how Black Myth Wukong performs on Xbox and whether the additional development time has enhanced the game in any way.

Game Science has done an outstanding job with the title, and it seems that they are not stopping anytime soon.

It has also been reported that an expansion for the game is also in the works, slated for an early 2025 release. The expansions is expected to include the remaining seven chapters of the story, which the developers had cut from the original game.

Moreover, a sequel titled Black Myth: Jiang Ziya has been teased, although there’s been little information revealed about it so far.

The future of Black Myth Wukong looks incredibly bright, and we’re excited to see the game finally receive a physical edition, especially as such releases are becoming increasingly rare. Hopefully, other platforms will also get physical editions in the near future.
