    A standout action title from a rising developer continues to build momentum, praised for its dynamic combat and visual style. Recent developments suggest the studio has ambitious plans to expand the game’s universe further.

    Since its launch in April 2024, the PlayStation-backed action title has received positive reception, with many players drawing comparisons to the gameplay styles of NieR: Automata and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Its fast-paced combat and polished presentation quickly set it apart in the genre.

    Building on that momentum, developer Shift Up has now confirmed that a full sequel in officially in development. The announcement was made through a roadmap slide included in the company’s latest financial results, outlining future projects

    According to Shift Up’s latest development roadmap, the Stellar Blade sequel is slated to arrive before 2027, alongside several other upcoming projects. Prior to the sequel’s release, the studio plans to expand the game’s reach through a new platform launch, with the PC version officially set to debut on June 11.

    Also featured in the roadmap is Project Witches, a mysterious multiplatform action RPG that remains under wraps. While few details have been shared, the inclusion signals Shift Up’s intent to diversify its portfolio and further solidify its presence in the global gaming market.
