According to established Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer Interloko, the game may soon see the addition of iconic characters such as the T-1000 and Conan the Barbarian.

Interloko, who has a track record of uncovering game secrets, claims to have found evidence of six planned DLC characters within the game files.

In a recently published YouTube video, Interloko revealed that three classic Mortal Kombat characters—Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot—are set to join the roster. Alongside them, three guest characters are also planned: the T-1000 from the Terminator franchise, Conan the Barbarian (famously portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in two films), and Ghostface, the masked killer from the Scream movies and TV series.

Importance: The Mortal Kombat franchise has been known for adding several fan favourite characters to their games for a long while, they have already added multiple characters to Mortal Kombat 1, and it seems that more are on their way.

Hints about Ghostface’s inclusion had previously been discovered by another dataminer, and Mortal Kombat creative director Ed Boon has since teased the character’s potential addition to the game.

Earlier this month, The Boys villain Homelander became the fifth of six DLC characters included in the Kombat Pack 1 pass. Previous additions to the game include Omni-Man and Quan Chi in November and December 2023, respectively, Suicide Squad’s Peacemaker (voiced by John Cena) in April, Mortal Kombat ninja Ermac in March, and Mortal Kombat X character Takeda Takahashi, who will join the roster in July.

The introduction of these new characters, especially well-known figures like the T-1000 and Conan the Barbarian, is expected to generate significant excitement among fans and expand the game’s diverse roster.

There have been no official statements confirming the upcoming characters in the game, but there seems to be a high likelihood of their arrival. Nevertheless, we are excited and eagerly anticipate seeing these characters in the game, especially how brutal their finishing moves are going to be.
