PlayStation recently held their State of Play, showcasing a variety of games including a new Astro bot game, an Until Dawn Remake, a Silent Hill 2 Remake, the PC port of God of War Ragnarok, and more.

However, the show seems to have fallen short of expectations. Many fans expressed their disappointment online, citing various reasons for their dissatisfaction.

But it seems that PlayStation isn’t done yet. According to industry insider Midori, PlayStation has more announcements planned for the upcoming Summer Game Fest.

Why it matters: Summer Game Fest is one of the year’s most significant gaming events, opting studios to showcase their games at the event to reach a wider audience.

We are unsure which games might be featured at the event, but recent reports suggest that Ghost of Tsushima 2 and Death Stranding 2 could make an appearance, as the likelihood of a PlayStation Showcase is very unlikely at the moment.

Additionally, Marvel’s Wolverine and Phantom Blade are potential candidates for the event, given the long silence on official updates regarding these games. Similarly, Naughty Dog’s new IP, which has been shrouded in mystery for a while, could also be unveiled.

The Horizon franchise, with its multiple games in development, could also be showcased. Likewise, the God of War franchise reportedly has several projects in the works, including a sequel, remakes, and remasters, which could also make its way to the event.

However, these are just speculations, and it’s best to take them with a grain of salt. Ultimately, it depends on PlayStation’s plans. But if we were to guess, these games have the potential to be revealed at the upcoming event.

Nevertheless, we are very excited for the Summer Game Fest and are eagerly anticipating all the reveals. We hope that PlayStation can redeem itself after the alleged disappointment of the recent State of Play.
