Fortnite Is Bringing Back A Reimagined Version Of An Old POI
Fortnite fans are buzzing with excitement as the release of Chapter 6 Season 1 approaches. Set to launch on December 1, this new season is expected to bring a fresh map, a range of new weapons, and an array of skins for players to enjoy.
Among the latest teasers, many fans believe they have spotted a reimagined version of Mega City, a fan-favorite location from Chapter 4 Season 2.
The promotional images shared by Epic Games have sparked speculation that Mega City might be returning with accessible interiors, a feature not available when the location was first introduced.
In the lead-up to Chapter 6, Fortnite fans have been immersed in Chapter 2 Remix, a four-week season that harkens back to the game’s second chapter. This nostalgic season, which wrapped up after the conclusion of Fortniteās Marvel-themed chapter, brought back iconic weapons and locations from 2019, albeit with some new twists.
Before Chapter 6 kicks off, players can enjoy the highly-anticipated āRemix: The Finaleā event on November 30, which will feature a world premiere of a new Juice WRLD song and appearances by Ice Spice, Eminem, and Snoop Dogg.
Though the “Remix: The Finale” event is still a few days away, Epic Games has started teasing the upcoming season. On Twitter, the studio released several promotional images for Chapter 6 Season 1, titled Hunters.
One image has sparked debate, with many fans convinced that it hints at the return of Mega City. While some arenāt fully convinced, thereās speculation that this revamped Mega City might now feature interiors, which were absent when it was first added.
In addition to the buzz around potential map changes, several new collaborations for Fortnite Chapter 6 have already been confirmed. After months of leaks and rumors, Epic has announced partnerships with Godzilla and Baymax from Big Hero 6.
This continues the studioās ongoing collaboration with Disney, which has previously brought characters like The Incredibles, Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil into the game as skins.
The upcoming season will also see the return of Fortniteās original game mode starting on December 6. After its immense success in 2023, when it attracted over 44.7 million players and 102 million hours played in a single day, Epic Games has decided to make this mode permanent.
Players will be able to enjoy the classic Chapter 1 map and weapons, with the mode rumored to rotate through different seasons from Chapter 1 each month.
