Finally, the new update of Dead by Daylight is here. Dead by Daylight is almost a decade old now and keeps on updating its features. Hence, maintaining its position in the gaming world, particularly with the addition of new Killers and Buffs in the February 2025 Dead by Daylight’s update.
Gamers wanted changes regarding The Nightmare’s abilities, as they felt Freddy Krueger’s powers to be outdated compared to others. The January 2025 Dead by Daylight update catered to these changes, however, some bugs still remained, which are sought out in the February 2025 Dead by Daylight update.
The February 2025 update for Dead by Daylight brings several adjustments, particularly refining aspects of The Nightmare while addressing various bugs and glitches. A new visual effect has been introduced when The Nightmare teleports to a Survivor who is healing.
Additionally, his Black Box add-on has been modified to prevent sleeping Survivors from accessing exit gates for 15 seconds after they are opened. These minor tweaks further enhance Freddy Krueger’s distinct playstyle. Meanwhile, multiple fixes have been implemented to improve gameplay by resolving issues related to other items and characters.
The reintroduction of 2v8 mode might be the biggest addition in February 2025 update. Previously, the game featured fewer Killers in this mode, while this new edition involves a home that offers rewards based on Resident Evil concept, and it is a two-week event, which can be played on February 10.
The mode will include The Legion, The Mastermind, and The Nemesis to be available for selection as Killers. The new Raccoon City Police Department plan is now available to play in 2v8 mode.
The bugs fixed in February 2025 update provide fairness and balance between each side of players. The issue of quieter Phase Walk performed while wearing some outfits such as Dead by Daylight’s The Spirit’s “Tomie” Legendary has been removed, along with that various audio and video issues. Although, it is possible to have developed other bugs by this February 2025 Dead by Daylight update, the Behavior Interaction team has been working continuously to provide enjoyable experience to users.
