A new rumor hints that Call of Duty: World at War and Singularity may be added to Xbox Game Pass next year. Both titles, originally published by Activision, are gaining attention as Microsoft continues to integrate Activision’s library into its gaming subscription service following its 2023 acquisition of the company. If the rumors hold true, these two popular games could expand Xbox Game Pass’s offerings in 2025.

The Call of Duty franchise has been a significant focus for Xbox Game Pass recently. Notably, Black Ops 6 debuted on the platform at launch, and speculation suggests that as many as nine classic Call of Duty titles might soon join the service after appearing on the Microsoft Store for PC. While these reports remain unconfirmed, it now appears that another iconic Call of Duty entry, World at War, could also make its way to Xbox Game Pass alongside the sci-fi shooter Singularity.

This information stems from leaker eXtras1s on Twitter, known for accurately predicting previous Game Pass additions. On December 23, the leaker noted that World at War had surfaced on the Microsoft Store for PC, potentially signaling a future Game Pass release. According to eXtras1s, both World at War and Singularity are expected to arrive on the subscription platform by May 2025. Given the massive popularity of World at War—one of the best-selling titles on the Xbox Store around the time of Microsoft’s Activision acquisition—it would align with Microsoft’s strategy to use high-profile games to attract players to Xbox Game Pass.

If these titles do make it to Xbox Game Pass, they would mark yet another wave of Activision games being added to the service. Since acquiring Activision Blizzard, Microsoft has already made nine of the company’s titles available to subscribers. While no official announcements have confirmed World at War or Singularity for the platform, the pattern suggests it is only a matter of time.

Back when the Activision-Blizzard deal was first finalized, Xbox head Phil Spencer noted that it would take time for the company’s games to roll out on Xbox Game Pass. Now, it seems that period of waiting has passed, with Activision titles regularly appearing on the service. Although the specific timeline for World at War and Singularity remains uncertain, the growing momentum indicates that Xbox Game Pass subscribers will likely gain access to these fan favorites in the near future. Until then, fans will have to stay tuned for further developments.

Amif growing anticipation for GTA 6, rumors suggest that Rockstar Games is preparing to port GTA 4 and Max Payne 3 to modern consoles. With GTA 4 over 17 years old, this would give fans a chance to revisit Liberty City, especially following GTA 6's recent trailer, which connects protagonist Lucia Caminos to the city. Building on the success of recent remasters like Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar may be rethinking its approach to fan-favorite titles. However, until an official announcement is made, these reports should be taken with caution.
