Assassin’s Creed Shadows was originally planned for a 2024 release. However, after facing multiple delays, the franchise announced a final release date of March 20, 2025. It is the 14th game in the core Assassin’s Creed series (excluding spin-offs or mobile versions). Although the launch is still about a month away, rumors of the Assassin’s Creed Shadows leak suggest that the game has already surfaced online.

Ubisoft postponed the game’s release to improve and modify the mechanics for smoother and more realistic gameplay, as it was also indicated by the director of the game, but it seems that the franchise has failed again to secure their games from unauthorized leaks. Players are getting hands on physical and digital copies of this game sooner than expected, and without any official announcement.

Importance: Some fans might get frustrated by the potential spoilers and could cancel their pre-orders if they feel the game isn’t polished enough. Additionally, the leak could impact the franchise’s overall sales revenue target and damage its reputation.

Several reports suggest that the rumors might be true and that some players have gained access to the game before its official release. This is due to copies being spotted at retailers, along with a user claiming to have fully played the game after purchasing it.

The possible reason behind the leak could be a digital pre-loading mistake by PSN or retailers breaking the street date and distributing physical copies through unknown means. However, multiple images and visual content confirm the legitimacy of the news, showing the game being played properly. People have shared footage of the stealth-based protagonist, Naoe, engaging in a combat.

An image album containing screenshots of the game’s menu, Naoe’s weapon, and various visual settings images confirms that the game is fully playable for some users ahead of its launch. Evidence of this can be found on Reddit.

Despite this, some fans still do not believe the rumor is true. According to them, this evidence is fake and has been artificially generated without any legitimacy. They believe that these footage clips have been taken or edited from previous official releases. Interestingly, this claim could be supported, as each game needs to be updated through PSN to be playable. It seems that an earlier version of the game is being accessed by fans on PSN.

This situation is definitely intriguing. What are your thoughts on Assassin’s Creed Shadows Leak? Share them in the comments section below!

Fans aren’t playing, because no fan of AC would risk being called a racist by playing or supporting this highly racist game that also features child grooming/molestation. The only people playing this now are POS thieves and influencers.
