Elden Ring Mod Turns The Game Into Bloodborne
Bloodborne has been one of the most anticipated titles for PC since a long time, however, the game has not seen the light of day on the platform. People have done various things to at least bring somewhat of the game’s presence on the PC platform.
Well, an Elden Ring modder has now been implementing a Bloodborne-inspired experience in Elden Ring, by introducing trick weapons, parrying firearms, quick steps, a permanent night mode, and a darker atmosphere.
Importance: It’s great to see that PC modders are always active with games like Elden Ring, constantly experimenting and pushing the boundaries of what the game can offer. This vibrant modding community is what sets PC gaming apart from other platforms.
Nexus Mods user Noctis has developed the Graceborne: Bloodborne Inspired Overhaul mod. This project, named by blending “Bloodborne” with Elden Ring’s “grace,” is still in its early stages but aims to turn Elden Ring into a more grim and sinister experience.
Noctis recently posted a video on YouTube seeking help from other modders to realize the full scope of Graceborne, stating that the task is too monumental to tackle alone. Despite this, the mod already includes 22 armor sets, 35 weapons, 17 trick weapons, and five firearms.
The goal of Graceborne is not merely to add Bloodborne-inspired weapons and armor but to recreate the entire gothic horror atmosphere. This project isn’t about replicating Bloodborne within Elden Ring; instead, it applies a Bloodborne aesthetic to the game.
The alpha version of the mod is available for download. Along with the numerous armor and weapon additions, it includes gameplay features like “gun parrying, no equipment load, quicksteps when locked on, permanent night mode, Bloodborne-style healing,” and more, according to Noctis. The mod also alters the appearance of several mobs and bosses to align with the new aesthetic.
For fans yearning to play Bloodborne on PC, this mod might be the closest they can get, as the PlayStation 4 exclusive has yet to be ported to PC. Modders have previously attempted to emulate the Bloodborne experience by adding its models and weapons to other games like Lies of P.
Elden Ring continues to be highly acclaimed on its own, with both the base game and its Shadow of the Erdtree expansion receiving great scores from critics around the world. Released in June 2024, Shadow of the Erdtree is confirmed to be Elden Ring’s only expansion, leaving fans curious about what FromSoftware will do next.
We are excited and looking forward to what FromSoftware has in store for us next. Given their track record, we can expect greatness, as they have rarely ever disappointed.
