EA FC 25 Introducing Ray Tracing Along With Two Graphics Modes For The First Time

EA FC 25 is set to launch with groundbreaking graphics options that significantly enhance visual fidelity, something that has never been seen before in the franchise.

For the first time, ray tracing is being incorporated into EA FC, previously known as FIFA. This cutting-edge technology will provide more realistic lighting and reflections, elevating the overall visual experience.

The game also offers two distinct graphics modes: Enhanced Visuals and Favor Resolution. Enhanced Visuals provide improved lighting and detailed graphics in upscaled 4K resolution, while Favor Resolution maintains standard lighting in native 4K. Both modes ensure smooth gameplay at 60 frames per second.

Importance: The implementation of ray tracing and the introduction of Enhanced Visuals and Favor Resolution modes represents a significant leap forward in the visual quality of the EA FC series, previously known as FIFA.

EA FC 25 Shaping Up To Be A Strong Title In The Franchise

At an event at EA Sports’ Vancouver headquarters, Fab Muoio, line producer for match experiences, highlighted the advantages of these new graphics settings and noted that Enhanced Visuals will be the default mode in FC 25.

Muoio explained,

“Enhanced visuals in FC 25 include ray-traced occlusion, comprehensive cloth simulation on jerseys and shorts, constant self-shadowing, rim lighting for player models, and 3D pitch features like divots and puddles.”

The Favor Resolution mode, meanwhile, limits cloth simulation to shorts during gameplay and restricts self-shadowing to daytime matches, offering a balance between performance and visual quality.

Another first for FC 25 is the inclusion of time progression during a match.

“In the first half, the sun may be setting, and by the second half, it will be nighttime.”
