Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Dates Confirmed

First revealed in May after extensive rumors, Black Ops 6 is the latest installment in the series developed by Treyarch. In June, Activision shared extensive details about the game’s multiplayer, Zombies mode, and the campaign.

Now, the beta dates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have been officially confirmed, marking a significant shift as the beta will be available on all platforms simultaneously for the first time.

Importance: Betas are crucial for developers to receive feedback and identify any glitches or bugs in the game, resulting in a more refined product for the final release.

As announced during the Call of Duty podcast on YouTube, the beta will be accessible on the following dates:

  • Early Access: August 30 – September 4
  • Open Beta: September 6 – September 9

Historically, Call of Duty betas have been exclusive to PlayStation platforms. However, this year, early access will be granted to Game Pass subscribers and those who pre-order Black Ops 6. The open beta will be available to all players.

The confirmation of Black Ops 6’s beta comes in the wake of recent Game Pass price increases, which also includes a “Standard” Tier that excludes day-one releases, meaning day-one releases like Black Ops 6 won’t be available on the tier.

Earlier, a leak from a UK retailer suggested that the Black Ops 6 beta might take place from August 28 to September 3. Although these dates aren’t exact, they are quite close. Activision may have altered the dates after the leak, but the leak pointed us in the right direction.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 To Be Highly Polished

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on October 25.
