Activision recently announced the sixth installment in the Call of Duty Black Ops series, Black Ops 6, and the hype surrounding the game has been intense ever since. There have been many rumors about the game being on the Xbox Game Pass, but up until now, they were just speculations.

However, Xbox has finally officially revealed that Black Ops 6 will be the first Call of Duty title on the Game Pass and will be a Day One release on the subscription service.

Why it matters: Call of Duty is undoubtedly the most popular gaming shooting series ever, and the game being on the Xbox Game Pass now means that it will act as a major draw for Xbox to attract many consumers to their subscription service.

The announcement came on the official Xbox YouTube channel, where they uploaded the live-action trailer for Black Ops 6. At the end, alongside the announcement of the game for the Xbox Game Pass, it was stated that the game would have its worldwide reveal on June 9 at the Call of Duty Direct after the Xbox Games Showcase.

This is great news for many people as they will now be able to enjoy Call of Duty games on the Xbox Game Pass, along with many other games on the subscription service, providing great value for their money.

But we are wondering what this means for the Xbox Game Pass, because this could potentially result in a price increase in the subscription service as demand for it would increase due to a world-renowned blockbuster franchise like Call of Duty coming over.

Previously, we already heard of Xbox reportedly releasing new Game Pass tiers for Call of Duty on the subscription service. As of right now, we don’t know what this could mean for the Game Pass and Call of Duty, but we are intrigued to know more about it.

The Xbox Games Showcase is scheduled for June 9, which will be followed by a Call of Duty Direct hosting the worldwide reveal of Black Ops 6 as mentioned before, which will also reveal the official in-depth gameplay of the title along with a lot of information.

We are really excited for the Xbox Games Showcase and the Call of Duty Direct and are looking forward to the plethora of information they are going to deliver.

A recent Qualcomm job listing has sparked rumors that the next-generation Xbox hardware might feature ARM-based snapdragon processors, suggesting a possible shift form traditional AMD chips. However, sources indicate that this listing refers to improving Xbox compatability on ARM-powered surface devices rather than a full console redesign. While Microsoft expolres making Xbox games more accessible across different platforms, the idea on ARM-powered Xbox console remain speculative. The collaboration highlights ongoing efforts to integrate snapdragon technology with XBox services, but the true nature of next-gen Xbox hardware is still under wraps.
