Astro Bot has been one of the most highly anticipated titles on the PlayStation 5 since its announcement. Although we haven’t seen much from the game since then, it looks like we’re finally starting to see more from it.

Astro Bot’s upcoming PlayStation 5 platformer has been showcased in over 8 minutes of off-screen gameplay footage, providing a glimpse into multiple levels of the game. Captured by A9VG during ChinaJoy, the demo footage is the same as the one shown to the press at Summer Game Fest last month .

Importance: The last Astro Bot game was released in 2018 for the PlayStation VR and was highly acclaimed. Now, almost six years later, we’re getting another title in the franchise, which explains the hype surrounding the game.

The footage offers a detailed look at the game’s mechanics, level design, and the charming, nostalgic elements that have become a hallmark of the series. The demo highlights the engaging and intricate platforming challenges that players can expect in the full release.

One of the key elements of the Astro Bot games is their high level of interactivity, fully utilizing the strengths of their respective console’s controller. With the DualSense being more advanced than the DualShock 4, especially with its haptic feedback, we can expect an incredibly immersive experience in the upcoming Astro Bot game.

The game is scheduled for release in September, Astro Bot features a mission to rescue over 150 VIP Bots, each inspired by legendary characters from PlayStation’s 30-year history. This new platformer follows the success of Astro’s Playroom, the well-received PlayStation 5 pack-in title that has been bundled with over 60 million consoles.

For those confused between Astro’s Playroom and Astro Bot games, Astro’s Playroom is a pre-installed demo on the PS5, while Astro Bot games are full-fledged titles.

We have high hopes from Team Asobi, as they definitely know what they are doing. We trust that they will provide an amazing experience with the upcoming Astro Bot game.
